Another BROL article has caught my attention: Is it O.K. to Kill Cyclists? The post follows a NY Times news article titled the same thing. Sadly, cyclists really do have the odds stacked against them, in this totally technology obsessed and addiction that plagues our planet. Technology offers instant gratification; while operating a vehicle, basically has not changed since it’s beginnings. This is what makes it so DANGEROUS when you get vehicle operators and cyclists together on the road. It was bad enough, when you had to deal with drunk or elderly drivers; but now you have to deal with vehicle operators that are easily distracted / consumed to their communication devices, due to the basic same BORING pace vehicles still go these days. The result is cyclists (And pedestrians) do get hit/injured/killed; but the legal side of society, tends to favor the POOR vehicle operator and chastise the cyclist or pedestrian, with the attitude, you shouldn’t have been in (Or on) the road or walkway anyway. I have heard and read numerous instances that bare out this SORRY FACT! The reality of all of this is, “human powered” cycling continues to be pushed towards the brink of extinction. Even now, you have that Devil technology quietly easing it’s way into cycling, via e-bikes, popping up everywhere. Sadly, this and numerous other signs, clearly have bicyclists being not on roadways, but in killing fields! Our electronic addicted society will continue to show no mercy for these non-electronic relics, that should have been off the road, years ago.
