OT - Hashtags… BANNED at ezbiker.com!!! :-OOO
I continue to be astonished on what inhabitant's on this planet do, to entertain themselves. BUT in reality, it’s really nothing new! Every generation has their OWN THING or basically FAD faze, they go through. Here’s a great website: crazyfads.com that provides fads of earlier years. To me, this rates right up there with.. eyeball licking and monster headphones… (So 1980-ish) But todays little HISSY Fit concerns” Hashtags.” A definition for them can be found here. It’s not enough that people don’t want to actually verbalize (Talk… for you under 20 year olds) ; but now they want to add all sorts of wingding (&^%$#) characters to sentences as well. You creatures have WAY TOO MUCH TIME on your hands! Needless to say, anyone seeking a safe harbor from these… alien symbols, can always come by ezbiker.com, and never have to endure them!
Now… having done this HISSY Fit,I must admit, that I too am actually guilty of wingding abuse! As you can see these: :-OOO in the title above!

BREAKING News! Maria Parker - 2013 RAAM Transcontinental Women's Champion!
Interesting thoughts / insights about RAAM 2013
This years RAAM race has been really EXCITING to keep up with; especially with the super post / thread going on at BROL. Maria Parker riding on her companies Cruzbike recumbent, continues to inspire and win more dedicated followers (Like me) from her present RAAM 2013 venture. As of this post, she has already survived a rear crash of her support vehicle, that wiped out some of her bikes and injured some of her team, including her son; but has managed to get back up and continue on in the event. Thanks a lot to the RAAM organization for letting her back in and also of the urging of numerous friends and supporters. She has already vanquished her fellow female cyclist competitors and now, continues to gobble up the male competitors. All of this brings to thought some interesting things. At present, in our niche world of recumbents, carbon fiber seems to be the end ticket for those who really want to have the ultimate GO FAST experience. Just be careful NOT to crash or lay your CF frame down though. And yet, the pictured bike of this post, with rider is utilizing a “T6 aluminum alloy frame” and still setting speed records all over the place! Admittedly, I’m not a real fan of the front chain drive type of cycling setup; BUT… I wouldn’t mind trying one, to see if I could master it. Lastly, with regard to the rear end crash occurrence, on Indian territorial land; NO ONE no where in this country should be able to avoid prosecution, if they in fact were the major factor, in the rear ending of Maria’s support vehicle. If this had happened to an Indian, living on that land; I bet you would have seen that reservation on the war path, to see justice done!

GET YOUR ZOOBOMB ON!!!!!!!!!!! ;-0
LOL, OK, I have learned a NEW word and a rather WILD event it’s titled after! ZOOBOMB! Quoting From Wikipedia: Zoobomb is a weekly bicycling activity in Portland, Oregon, United States during which participants ride bicycles rapidly downhill. Zoobomb began in Fall of 2002.
Participants carry their bikes on MAX Light Rail to the Washington Park station next to the Oregon Zoo. From there, participants take the elevator to the surface and then ride their bikes down the hills in the vicinity. This process is often repeated several times throughout the night.
There is an emphasis on unusual bicycles, first and foremost the children's bicycles or "minibikes," but extending to tall bikes, swing bikes, choppers, non-functional bicycles, etc. Though many riders bring their own bicycles, the participants maintain a "Zoobomb pile". This is a sculptural tower of minibikes anchored to a bicycle rack at the Zoobomb meeting point. These are spare bikes that are used as loaners for would-be Zoobombers who don't have their own bike. The pile has become a local landmark. This organization even has their own website geared for ZOOBOMBING!

BREAKING News! * RAAM / Recumbent participant Maria Parker support van rear-ended by SCUMBAG IDIOT, TEXTING!
Admittedly, I have not been following RAAM as I normally do; but I do check in at BROL’s RAAM post and also at Facebook’s posting as well, from time to time. It appears our Super Female Recumbent Diva, RAAM participant Maria Parker; her support vehicle, was rear-ended by some PATHETIC Human jerkoff, texting, when they should have been DRIVING! The story has gone up and down, with the team being out of RAAM and now they are apparently back in the race. You can follow this SUPER event by the links in my post here.
