Those you are honoring… are surly looking down from Heaven and lowering their heads in SHAME!

You know, I have no ill feeling towards law enforcement; in fact I respect them very much, have a lot of them as friends and I ride with quite a few officers on some of my rides! The very nature of my job; has me interacting with them from time to time.I likewise respect organizations that put together events to honor those REAL Hero's that have sadly been lost, while protecting us. I also respect the fact, it’s your event, it's your rules and you can include or exclude whoever you want. But this post at BROL… Recumbents not allowed just leaves a REAL sour taste in my mouth. I truly wonder, if those that gave their life, to serve and protect “ALL” the public at large; harbored the same selective attitude, that this event obviously supports. Ohhhh, if you ride a upright bike, I can assist you; but if you ride a recumbent; NOPE, you are SOL… I wish their event well; but I can’t help but think about those they are honoring; who are surly looking down from Heaven and lowering their heads in SHAME, for an event that discriminates…
