SORRY, but my AERO is a POOR putz around bike!!!

Yes EZ Biker friends, there are some things that just don't do good in other arenas. This past weekend, my Friend invited me on a nice SLOW, EASY cruise around ride, looking at expensive intracoastal homes and ride through cemeteries. I liken this to taking a formula race car down to the corner store to get groceries... ;-) I was DIEING trying to keep that poor steed at a 10 mph or less speed! It's JUST not made to do that kind of smell the roses or check out interesting grave markers... riding. (Yea, I like doing that sometimes... ;-0) SO, I'm now in a full court press (With not a lot of $$$ on hand) looking for THAT EASY Cruise around kind of bike!!! Pictured in this link, is I believe the trusty little steed, that will do the trick for me, if I can scare up some $$$. However I'm also looking at checking out some pawn shops and see if any folding bikes might be lurking. Then again, there's always my possible tax return and maybe lucking out with (At present) elusive overtime, some weekend. Stay tuned!!!

A1A Corridor Study - Calling """ALL Cyclists""" who ride on A1A in Broward County!

I received a really informative email from my fellow recumboer Steve B, about an upcoming A1A Corridor Study Public meeting to be held at the Beach Community Center, May 7Th at 6:00 PM. You can see the address at the link and also in the photo. Needless to say, "ALL" cyclists (Not just us recumbent folks) should try and make a date to attend this function and help keep A1A corridor rolling on, for all cyclists!!! Thanks for the info, Steve B!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

SNIFF! That specific model computer is for High Class folks only!

SNIFF we don't sell that model computer to "Common folks"! It's for SNOOTY businesses ONLY! Well EZ Biker Friends, this topic is a tad OT (Off topic) but I'm absolutely astonished of how a certain company does (Or in the case, REFUSES TO do) business with a paying customer! I have used a Dell computer for 15+ years; with my first laptop back in my mobile DJ business days. At present (As you all know) I have been in between computers as my 10+ year old "Dell Laptop (Yea I'm another one of those Earl types... disco ball hanging off my monitor at home too... ;-) finally gave up the ghost and the BLUE screen of death filled my monitor. (Nice blue reflections off my mirror ball though...) At my job, I have been using Dell Latitudes for most of the time I have worked there. So I figure, why not order something that I've worked with for a long time, for my home computing. So I went to the Dell website and spec-ted out a Latitude for my needs and then contacted my charge card company to get a pre approved purchase amount of around $2000.00. I really didn't need to get pre approval, BUT I just wanted to make sure the transaction went smoothly and without any hitches. Call Dell, order my computer, give them my credit card number and I'm done! Upon contacting them, I talked to a very nice sales associate, who upon realizing I was trying to purchase a Latitude, apologetically advised me, that those computers are only available to commercial or business enterprises. What? You mean, here's a customer (IN THIS RESSESSIONAL TIME, when $$$ is clearly not being spent), that already has a $2000,00 pre approved purchase amount for your product and you won't sell me what I want? XXXXCUUUUSSSSSEEEEE Me! What an absolute Arrogant company you all are! You obviously don't want or need this poor common persons business! So back at work I talked to various engineers in the facility and EVERYONE of them advised me, that HP (Hewlett Packard) Computers were THE Hot ticket and were now the computer of choice for the company. I was allowed to try various models and then I began to wonder (Given the fact that they were being used in a commercial setting) if HP would even sell this COMMON person one. After getting the model of one that best fit my needs, I went to the HP website and spec-ed the same model out and then sent an inquiry email to them, to see if they would sell it to me. They responded back fairly quickly and stated, absolutely NO PROBLEM in purchasing any kind of HP computer I wanted. And it's no surprise, that I'm actually getting a BETTER DEAL with MORE goodies on the HP one, than I would have gotten with brand D........ Needless to say, HP will have my business from now on!

Breaking News! Fast Freddy departs Easy Racers... AND "NO" Fast Freddy...YOU DID NOT write the book on LWB recumbents!

This first news I heard of this was on the cover of BROL (Bent Rider On Line) with a new frame Fast Freddy has apparently developed. The sentence that caught my eye was: "...is Freddy’s first solo recumbent project since leaving Easy Racers." Apparently there was an initial post done concerning this; but it mysteriously was withdrawn. There are two threads that offer a few more views on this and here is the link & link, at BROL.

While I respect and agree, fast Freddy has done a lot for the recumbent industry, I find the following sentences (Included in the press release at BROL): (Few people know recumbents like Freddy does. But when it comes to lwb recumbents, he wrote the book.) to be downright insulting to various other recumbent manufacturers and likewise a SLAP IN THE FACE to THE REAL PERSON THAT REALLY WROTE THE BOOK ON LWB RECUMBENTS, Gardner Martin! Nothing wrong with promoting your new endeavor, but to do so, by smiting your previous employer, mentor and person that basically got you into recumbents, is a POOR surprise, from a person I thought had class.

EZ Biker BACK ON THE ROAD!!! :-)

Well at 5:55 AM yours truly was OFFICIALLY back in the saddle and back on the road again!! It felt GREAT and surprisingly my legs were no worse for wear, after a month+ of just spinning on my indoor recumbent. Admittedly, it was a mere SHORT shake down (Make sure everything works, including the cyclist... ;-) 30 mile ride, BUT it was still FUN. I got to see the A1A Commercial group and heard someone from the bunch blurt out, "Good to see you again!" So now I was a good boy and didn't try and smoke any roadies and made the ride in a nice 2 hours time!

OT - To WHOM it may concern...

I have been hearing of people going around asking other people to Pledge Allegiance to a "Specific person" and THIS clearly bothers me. SO, I do hereby formally state, as you see in the photo! So, let this formally witnessed by all who visit my site and for the record...........
Signed: EZ Biker :-)
