FINALLY!!!!!!!!! EZ (Panty Hose...) Biker does a REAL ride in public!

OK, I know this might seem strange or probably GOOFY to you, but man when you are laying in a hospital bed (Feeling perfectly fine) having to wait until your blood thins down to a certain point, you DREAM of getting back to doing things, you are so use to doing! My stationary trainer is OK, but you really don't get the resistance or being in traffic alertness, that keeps you motivated to continue on and enjoy your cycling time. Admittedly it was only a """SHORT""" 23 miler, but I wanted to see how I felt and was effected by now cycling with thinner blood. I was a little fatigued afterwards and I did make myself stay away from WARP Speed, most of the ride......... :-0 and well, I'm ready for the NEXT ride!

EZ (Stationary) Biker, WHIPPING out the miles... WUSS style... ;-)

Dear EZ Biker, we are wondering how your cycling is going these days? Have you been back on the streets yet and if so, how fast and how many miles? From Ellen, Joe & Pat

WELL all, believe it or not, ole EZ Stationary biker has yet to log a mile back on the REAL road ways! :-( I've been getting up early (4:30 AM) to try and I'm met with rain and lightning. I can handle the light rain, but not the lightning! So I'm left doing my health rider and my (Kinda of) bike miles on my stationary trainer. UGGGGGGGGGG! The AGONY of this though, that for the first time in my bicycling life, I may actually go a month without riding my bike out in public!!!! :-( Grrrrrrrrrrrr! BUT at least I'm getting some pedaling miles some how! Thanks guys and to everyone for your encouraging and inspirational well wishes emails! :-) :-) :-)
PS: YEA, I admit it... I'm sucking in my gut, trying to not let anyone see my AERO BELLY... ;-)

Wiki listing on recumbent bicycle???

Dear EZ Biker, your site is really enjoyed by me and some of my fellow school mate friends. We hope you are back on your bike real soon. I'm wondering if there is anything mentioned about recumbent bicycling at Wikipedia? Thanks, Jason & Gang
Thanks for the real nice email Jason and YES there is an entry at
Wikipedia dealing with recumbent bicycles at the following link. :-)

What an active cyclist does, (To pass the time) when he can't bicycle!

WELL I wasn't going to actually put my personalized video on public display, BUT what the heck! I figured this would give everyone a better perspective on what a usual ACTIVE cyclist does when he's in dry dock undergoing rehab and has A LOT of SPARE time on his hands! Why you make a personal GOOFY BD Greeting vedio for your Special Friend!!!

Paris Breast Paris Event! The Mecca of Randonneuring!

First, Thanks for the TON of Get Well emails concerning my recent hospital adventure... ;-) I'm working on my epic adventure story and hope to post it shortly.

Update! Here is a new blog setup by a co worker of mine, John P. who is attending PBP with his wonderful wife! Also you can visit the following link during the event (August 19 / 23) to see live coverage, pictures and video's of the event.

In the meantime, if you remember, I had did a post on Randonneuring which basically are somewhat long self-supported bike rides, where you check in at various check points along the route. It's not a race, but you do try and complete the event in whatever time you like. The ultimate achievement is to do a certain number of the mileage events and you qualify to participate in the Grand Daddy of Randonneuring events, Paris Breast Paris!!!! WELL folks, THAT event is almost here! It starts on August 20Th thru August 24, 2007. Apparently some of my readers have friends participating in this event and if there was some sort of website that will provide information and possibly track the participants. YES there is! And here is the website to do just that. I have at least 4 friends from my work place that will be in the event and there will be NUMEROUS recumbents in it as well.

BREAKING NEWS! EZ Biker admitted into hospital! :-( :-( :-(

Hey everybody! I'm having a friend post this for me at my blog. SORRY for the missed days of postings, but I have a fairly good excuse... I got admitted into the hospital today due to blood clots detected in my right lower cafe / leg area. I'm doing fine and hope to be out shortly. :-) More details to follow.
